the loss of Founder Daniel Fils-Aime
Long time Business Entrepreneur, Community Activist and HACCOF Co-Founder, Daniel Fils Aime, passed away on July 31st, 2018.  Daniel Fils Aime- an extremely influential South Florida community leader who championed and spearheaded the Savannah Haitian Monument project – has died at age 76.
“We’ve lost a great Man, a great friend, one of a kind, a man with great vision, and for whom the Sky was not even the limit”, said Phillipe Armand, who co-founded the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce of Florida with Daniel.
“His exemplary service to our community was a testament to his passion for everything Haitian and selfless approach to leadership,” HACCOF’s current Chairman, Delle Joseph, wrote to his Board of Directors. “Daniel was known both for his keen vision and for his ability to offer practical solutions to complex problems. He was a true Community Pioneer, a great Role Model, and a Personal Mentor — Our Community will miss him dearly”.
“Daniel vision and leadership helped shape our Haitian-American professional community. I am a beneficiary of his great wisdom and forward thinking, having served as Chairman of this prestigious Chamber which he co-founded”, said Jeff Lozama who is Past Chairman of HACCOF.
Plans are in the works by the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce of Florida for a memorial service later this year.  The Chamber also plans to provide information for those who want to make charitable donations in Daniel’s name.
We treasure the everlasting impact of Daniel’s legacy on our community and extend our most heartfelt condolences to the Fils-Aime family during this difficult time.
