Anna L. Etienne

Dr. Anna L. Etienne has spent her professional career curating resources designed to support low-middle income community members through education and entrepreneurship. She currently holds a Doctorate in organizational leadership from Northeastern University, Master’s in Higher Education Administration, and Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Florida International University. Dr. Etienne’s research focuses on developing entrepreneurial opportunities through community partnerships and educational programs. Her mission is to cultivate and expand pathways of growth for small businesses, and foster opportunities for generational wealth to underprivileged regions.

Dr. Etienne has spent the past several years in various roles working with the local South Florida business community, and aspiring student entrepreneurs. As a manager, she helped launch the first and subsequent cohorts of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program at Miami Dade College, working with over 200 graduates for three years from among Miami’s local business owners. Dr. Etienne is currently the Director for StartUP FIU Food and an Entrepreneurial Advisor for Mayor Cava’s Equity and Inclusion team. She’s leveraged the resources of the university, developing industry-specific programs for hundred’s entrepreneurs, and continues to support local small businesses financially scale and secure contracts with national and local chains such as Whole Foods, Chartwells, and The Lowes Hotel.
