Michael Brun’s singular production style fuses traditional Haitian rhythms with modern pop and electronic beats. Tracks like ‘Gaya’, ‘Soweto’ and ‘Positivo’ have earned tens of millions of plays while catching the ears of tastemakers across the globe.
Brun has collaborated with artists including J Balvin, Alicia Keys, Maxwell, One Republic, Calvin Harris and Diplo and TIME magazine called him “a Haitian representative on the world stage”. He has performed at major festivals including Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival, co-founded the Haitian Heat playlist, launched his own non-profit festival in Haiti in 2016 and by committing himself to showcasing his country’s rich cultural heritage, become a flag bearer for a new generations of Haitians. He also serves as the face of the Emmy winning Beatmaking Lab project and earned a Latin Grammy win in 2020 for his work on J Balvin’s Colores album.
