
Cassandra Esperant is currently practicing as a pharmacist at the Aids Healthcare Foundation prescribing HIV prevention medications via a Collaborative Practice Agreement( CPA)with a medical doctor. She is passionate about tackling the public health issues that affect the communities that face the most disparities by empowering them with the tools needed to change the narrative in healthcare. She is passionate about advocacy, and her interest peaked for HIV when she learned that the Haitian community protested the CDC’s nonscientific claim that Haitians were part of the notorious 4 club. Her self-proclaimed purpose is to add value to all those she comes into contact with on a daily basis. In 2020 she opened a business called PrEPRx that focuses on consulting and educating organizations, health care practitioners, and the community regarding HIV prevention and other public health issues. Cassandra serves on the Little Haiti Rotary Club Board, SPARK Board( woman empowerment focus) and the Haitian American Pharmacist Association Board.Her next professional goals is to focus on HIV prevention in Black/ Hispanic Woman to decrease the incidence, and to serve on the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS.
Fun Fact: Cassandra Esperant once told her high school chemistry teacher that she didn’t need his class because she was going to law school.
