Fedline Ferjuste immigrated to the United States from St. Louis du Nord, Haiti when she was 11 years old. She grew up in Deerfield Beach, FL, the first of four children born to Anassa and Alira Ferjuste. Immediately following high school, Fedline joined the Unites States Army. There, she served nearly five years, even having served during September 11 th . Following her Army career, Fedline moved to Tampa, FL where she attained a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems. While in college, she served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Florida Haitian Student Association, Inc. (FHSA), an organization whose central mission was delivering hygienic supplies to female, asylum detainees in Homestead, FL. After college, she relocated to South Florida and worked as Program Manager at the Haitian American Foundation, Inc. (HAFI). At HAFI, Fedline worked to provide social services to the Haitian American community. Fedline has been a member of the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce of Florida (HACCOF) since 2015. On January 4, 2016, she was sworn in as Special Assistant United States Attorney with the Department of Justice (DOJ) United States Attorney’s Office. At the DOJ, she’s assigned to the General Crimes Division where she prosecutes federal offenses, including drugs, firearms, financial and tax crimes. Prior to the DOJ, she worked at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a Senior Tax Specialist and On the Job Instructor. Fedline holds a Juris Doctorate (JD) degree and Master of Laws (LL.M) in Taxation. And is working to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam in the near future. She was co-founder of her law school’s first Caribbean student organization. In 2011, she published a law review article titled — The Agricultural Worker Protection Act & Florida’s Migrant Worker: The Hands That Feed Florida — discussing how the 11th Circuit fails to protect migrant workers in Florida. Fedline is an Adjunct Professor at Miami International University of Art and Design and Barry University. She teaches courses in the areas of Law, Policy and Ethics, Financial Management, and Business Law. In her spare time she volunteers with Honey Shine, Inc. In 2017 she will celebrate her 10 th wedding anniversary.
