
Davidson Toussaint is a young social entrepreneur, activist, author and aspiring politician passionate about social justice and immigration reform. Born in Haiti, Davidson made Florida his residence in 2010, and has been working with different organizations in the Bay area for the past 5 years. Davidson attended HCC where he studied International Business and Marketing, and is currently working on his Political Science degree at the University of South Florida.
Davidson has served as the founder and CEO of Haiti Tourism Inc, a Haitian tourism site; Director of Marketing and Communications and President for the Greater Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce of Tampa as well as the Haitian Association Foundation of Tampa Bay; staff writer for Hawkeye Magazine, a student publication out of HCC; and the Marketing Strategist for the Haiti International Tourism Campaign (EWAH).
The Voice Magazine in the Netherlands has recognized Davidson’s work, for which he has received the Voice Achiever Award. Additionally, he won the Black Street Awards in New York for his work with his company Haiti Tourism INC. in 2013. Davidson has been nominated for the African-American Achievers Award, a JM Family Enterprises INC. Annual Award in South Florida, and has recently received the Lifetime Membership Award from the Haitian American Youth Media Association.
Davidson has served recently appointed as the Marketing and Communications Director of the Hillsborough County Young Democrats; and launched @Stratej Communication LLC, a communication agency that strategically help Patrice Dumont won a seat at the Senate during Haiti last elections.
