Daniela Jean earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Barry University and a Master’s degree in Mass Communications from Florida International University. A social strategist, mentor, speaker and author,she is passionate about empowering people for success. She has over 15 years of mentoring youth and spearheading community service projects. In 2001, she founded Hands at Work for Christ, a praise troupe that merged sign language and music. She also created JAVA Café, a pop-up inspirational poetry night. Both programs are now part of the curriculum of Arts at Work, Inc., a non-profit that seeks to promote the literary, visual and performing arts for youth and the community at large. In addition to serving as president and CEO of this organization, Daniela manages the “What’s Happening in South Florida” Facebook. She also oversees the subrogation and liability program for the City of North Miami, Risk Management Division. Because faith is the cornerstone of her life, Daniela is a Young Adult Leader at Mt. Pisgah SDA Church in Miami Gardens and her favorite verse is Philippians 4:13.Her motto: It’s easier said than done, but definitely doable.She is currently representing District 2 on the Miami- Dade Commission for Women. She’s also a Program Director for the Black Professional Network’s Pay It Forward program. Daniela is fluent in four languages and she enjoys crocheting hats and scarfs.
