Born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Louise Marjori Paul migrated to the United States in 1997. She made her education a focal point, becoming first a registered nurse and later a Family Nurse Practitioner. She’s worked in multiple specialties, including primary care, pulmonary care, and cardiac nursing. For more than a decade, she’s organized the Annual Health Fair in Little Haiti, with a focus on health awareness, disease prevention, and access to healthcare. Every year, during the health fair, back-to-school supplies and backpacks are provided to hundreds of children. Louise has served as the Treasurer and Chair of Education Committee on the Executive Board of the Haitian-American Nurses Association of Florida (HANA). She has participated in multiple medical missions in Immokalee, Florida and has joined the Man Dodo Humanitarian Medical mission for the past three consecutive years. Louise is the founder and president of Pearls of Life Women Foundation, Inc., an organization dedicated to the advancement and support of women through education, financial literacy, healthcare and psychosocial wellbeing. Her passion is to empower women to reach their highest potential. Louise is married and she’s the proud mother of two handsome, intelligent boys. She enjoys going on vacations, watching movies, dancing and dinner. In fact, if she could have dinner with Michelle Obama, she says, she would be in 7th Heaven.
