Theresa Therilus holds a B.A. in Economics and Legal Studies from the University of Miami and a Juris doctorate degree from Harvard Law School. She is the Assistant Director of the Miami Dade County Internal Services Department. Theresa previously served as a legal advisor to the County’s Regulatory and Economic Resources Department and as a Florida Assistant Attorney General in economic crimes and consumer protection. For her work as president of TGT Sports & Marketing, she was named a finalist for the Miami Dade Chamber of Commerce “Difference Maker” award in 2010. Theresa has appeared as a legal sports analyst on CNN, CNBC, and various syndicated sports talk radio shows, and has been a speaker at the American Bar Association’s Institute on White Collar Crime Institute. She has served as panelist on the issue of ethics in sports at the University of Miami and also at the St. Thomas School of Law Sports & Entertainment Symposium. In 2012, the University of Miami recognized Theresa for her continuing contribution to UM students. She is an adjunct Professor of Law at St. Thomas University School of Law who has also taught Trial Advocacy at Harvard Law School. She is the Co-President of the Harvard Alumni Society of South Florida, the Harvard Serves Coordinator for the Harvard Alumni Association, and a women’s leadership member of the United Way. She serves on the Board for the Cliff Avril Family Foundation and is a member of both the Dade County Chapter of the Links Incorporated and the Junior League of Miami. Theresa was recently honored as Brickell Magazine’s 2017 Top 20 under 40 Professionals.
