Merdochey Taylor LaFrance is a State and Local Government Lobbyist for Verizon and also leads Verizon’s Community Engagement in South Florida. A native Miamian of Haitian descent, Merdochey is a proud alumnus of Florida International University, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Master’s in Public Administration. She is an alumnus of Florida Atlantic University, where she obtained a Master of Science in Urban & Regional Planning. Merdochey also completed the “Creating Shared Value: Competitive Advantage Through Social Impact” Executive Program at Harvard Business School (HBS).
Merdochey is the Principal Consultant of iTaylor Solutions LLC. The firm specializes in Project Management, Strategic Planning, & Reputation Management services with niche expertise in public affairs. Prior to consulting, Merdochey held various leadership roles in External Affairs and Development at City Year Miami, All Aboard Florida (d/b/a Brightline), and the Florida Senate.
Merdochey remains connected to the South Florida community through her memberships in Leadership Florida, Junior League of Miami, Black Professionals Network (Board Member), ColorComm, National Forum for Black Public Administrators (South Florida Chapter), Haitian American Chamber of Commerce, and United Way Miami-Dade’s Women United & Young Leaders. Merdochey is a duly initiated, 16-year member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and a member of Jesus People Ministries Church International.
