Pascale Bélony

Pascale Belony

Pascale Bélony, BSN RN, CHES, is a proud daughter of Haiti. Born and raised in Cap-Haitien, Ms. Bélony’s greatest pride is knowing that running through her veins is the ancestral blood of Toussaint Louverture and Jean-Jacques Dessalines. At the age of 12, Ms. Bélony left the comfort of her homeland to pursue educational opportunities in the United States. Little did she know, her exodus was divinely orchestrated to best prepare her for a life of service to her beloved country, Haiti.

In 2015, Ms. Bélony graduated from the University of Florida (UF) Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Health Education. Two years later, her passion for health and commitment to health equity led her to acquire a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UF. Despite the overwhelming challenges of completing these rigorous degrees at one of the top 5 public universities in America, Ms. Bélony always reminded herself of her “why”. She deeply believed that “Sante se lavi“, or in English, “Health is life”. At her core, Ms. Belony believes that quality healthcare is a basic human right and a vital necessity that every Haitian deserves. So, throughout the difficulties of her studies, she persevered.
During her time at UF, Ms. Bélony was one of the founding members of P4H Global, a nonprofit dedicated to eradicating poverty in Haiti through education. From 2012 to 2015, she served as the Communications and Publicity Director. Throughout those years, she led over 400 University of Florida students to Haiti on Spring Break Trips. Ms. Bélony was instrumental in recruiting and training these students for their week of service. Throughout those years, Ms. Bélony organized the Health Education Workshops, which served over 1,000 Haitians in Cap-Haitien.

One of Ms. Bélony’s greatest accomplishments is placing 2nd (out of 16 contestants) in Haiti’s national Miss Universe Pageant in 2019. After placing high in this competition, Ms. Bélony decided to use her influence and platform to be a prominent voice and advocate for marginalized communities, particularly women. As a Registered Nurse, Ms. Bélony uses her knowledge to develop and deliver weekly wellness tips on Instagram to an audience of nearly 11,000 followers.

Today, Ms. Bélony serves as the President of the Advisory Board for P4H Global. Under her leadership, P4H has grown to have programs in 8 of Haiti’s 10 departments with a staff of over 21 full-time Haitian employees. Furthermore, Ms. Bélony continues to use her platform to advocate and contribute to her community in the United States and Haiti. She serves as a Health Education Consultant for large organizations such as Hope for Haiti and the Haitian Ministry of Education. She has also served as a panelist for the Haitian Community Alliance, hosted UF’s Club Creole Annual pageant and Gala, hosted the Miss Haiti Florida 2020 pageant, featured as a guest of honor for UF’s Black Alumni Homecoming, and hosted the first annual “A Night of Elegance” with Haitian music mogul Roberto “T-VICE” to name a few.

Ms. Bélony is devoted to living out her lifelong commitment to lead with boldness and significantly contribute to the rebuilding of her country, Haiti, and her beloved people.
