Terms and Conditions for Participation
Competition Paths:
Grant Path:
For businesses seeking direct funding for growth:
- 1st place: $5,000
- 2nd place: $3,000
- 3rd place: $1,000
Loan Path:
For more established businesses looking for repayable funding:
- 1st place: Up to $10,000
- 2nd place: Up to $10,000
Note: Only businesses operational for 3+ years with demonstrable revenue can compete in the Loan Path.
Eligibility Criteria:
General Requirements:
- Open to HACCOF members and Scale Up 305 graduates (except previous winners).
- Businesses must have been operational for at least 6 months.
- Must be registered on Sunbiz and have taxes filed.
Loan-Specific Requirements:
- Open to HACCOF members and Scale Up 305 graduates (except previous winners).

Selection Process:
Round One:
Based on the submitted documents and video presentations:
- 12 participants will be selected for the Grant Path.
- 5 to 8 participants will be selected for the Loan Path.
Round Two (Live Pitch Competition):
Participants will present live on November 7. Each has 4 minutes to pitch, followed by a Q&A with the jury. Samples or materials can be brought to enhance the pitch. The jury will deliberate and announce the winners on the same day.
Additional Opportunities for Winners:
- Mentorship from seasoned business leaders.
- Features in magazines and podcasts for increased visibility.
Note: For loan participants, there will be a vetting process before funds are disbursed. The loan term is 24 months with an annual interest rate of 6-7%. A separate document will provide more details regarding the specific conditions of the loan.
