Carline Raphael
My name is Carline Raphael, and I am a proud Miami native, born at Jackson Memorial Hospital—the very place where I now work and continue my journey in healthcare. I’ve always had a passion for helping others, and that passion has shaped every aspect of my professional and personal life.
I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work and an MBA in Healthcare Administration, and I’ve spent over nine years serving as a medical social worker. Throughout my career, I’ve had the honor of supporting patients and families during some of their most vulnerable moments. I pride myself on delivering compassionate, culturally sensitive care and ensuring that everyone I serve feels seen, heard, and respected.
Currently, I’m enrolled in nursing school to expand my ability to provide hands-on care. Becoming a nurse has always been a goal of mine, and this next chapter allows me to merge my background in social work and healthcare administration with direct clinical practice. Balancing work, school, and motherhood isn’t always easy, but my motivation is strong—and my daughter is one of my greatest sources of inspiration.
In addition to my healthcare work, I’m active in the community in several ways. I’m a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., an organization that embodies the values of sisterhood, scholarship, and service. Through Delta and my own outreach, I regularly support local community clinics, help organize health education events, and advocate for underserved populations. Giving back to my community isn’t something I do—it’s part of who I am.
I also hold a real estate license, which allows me to assist individuals and families in securing stable housing—a critical piece of overall well-being. Whether helping someone buy their first home or guiding them through a transition, I find great fulfillment in being part of such an important milestone in people’s lives.
Event planning is another passion of mine. I love bringing people together and creating experiences that inspire connection, joy, and purpose. From health fairs to celebrations and community initiatives, I enjoy organizing meaningful events that make a lasting impact.
Of all my roles, being a mother is the most important and rewarding. My daughter and I share a love for dancing, exploring new foods, and spending quality time together. She is a daily reminder of why I do what I do and the legacy I hope to leave behind.
Every part of my journey—from social work and healthcare leadership to nursing, real estate, and community service—reflects my commitment to helping others live healthier, more empowered lives. I believe in working hard, staying grounded in purpose, and using my voice and skills to uplift those around me.
