Danna Demezier
Dr. Danna Demezier is a full-time faculty member, clinical supervisor, and licensed mental health counselor. She has also worked as a developmental specialist and in community mental health for many years. Dr. Demezier holds a PhD in Counseling, a Master’s in Psychology with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology. She is a National Certified Counselor committed to working with underserved populations and bridging the mental health gap in these communities.
Her interests include culturally responsive interventions for diverse ethnic populations, such as immigrants, to improve mental health utilization. She focuses on culturally competent supervision for counselors and counselors-in-training. Dr. Demezier participates in numerous counseling organizations. She has given many presentations on her areas of interest. In 2021, she became a National Board of Certified Counselors Minority Doctoral Fellow.
