Dr. Stephanie S. Thomas brings a wealth of experience to any role with her healthy dose of tenacity, compassion, commitment, ingenuity, dedication, integrity, and love for family and community. As a seasoned public sector professional with over two decades of service, she embodies infectious selflessness.

Dr. Thomas is a dedicated learner who has earned several degrees: an associate degree in pharmacy from Miami Dade College, a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management, a master’s in health informatics & management systems from Florida International University, and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Miami. In 2021, she achieved her Doctorate in Health Sciences (DHSc) from Eastern Virginia Medical School.

Currently, she serves as the Deputy City Clerk in the City of North Miami and obtained the professional designation of Master Municipal Clerk in December 2018. Stephanie is passionate about increasing civic engagement among the youth and young adults and is actively involved in initiatives such as career day events and promoting the importance of voting within the community. As the Deputy City Clerk and Director for the City of North Miami, she was appointed as Supervisor of Elections for the City of North Miami in both 2015 and 2024. She has dedicated over two decades to advancing community well-being through a steadfast commitment to promoting public policy initiatives and optimizing administrative processes.

Her focus has been on implementing vital solutions such as contact tracing, telemedicine, and IT learning engineering to fortify the city’s resilience and responsiveness to civic engagement and public health challenges. Recognizing the significant impact of health outcomes on community well-being, our team has successfully partnered with diverse stakeholders to enhance public policies and programs. We have embraced transparency and civic engagement as cornerstones of our mission, aiming to ensure that each strategic initiative under my leadership leads to tangible improvements in residents’ quality of life.

Dr. Thomas was recognized in Miami Today’s 40th Year commemoration publication on May 26, 2022. She was also interviewed and featured in Bestcolleges.com’s “Five Tips for Advancing Your Public Service Career” on December 13, 2022. Stephanie was elected to serve as a board member of the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce of Florida and National Forum for Black Public Administrator.

She is committed to educating and raising awareness through health advocacy, which is her passion. Dr. Thomas is also a business owner and Principal CEO for PG & Company, The Health Consultant. She also serves on various boards and committees as part of her dedication to the community.
