Freddelle Menard
reddelle Menard, Esq., affectionately known as Freddie, is a distinguished Haitian-American attorney from Miami, Florida, whose unwavering dedication to justice, diversity, and community service is transforming the legal landscape. A proud first-generation college graduate and the first attorney in her family, Freddie’s journey is a testament to her perseverance, resilience, and deep-rooted commitment to uplifting others.
A strong supporter of historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), Freddie earned her Bachelor of Science from Florida A&M University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law, graduating Cum Laude.
Since being admitted to the Florida Bar during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Freddie has quickly emerged as a rising leader in criminal law. She currently serves as the head of the Hate Crime and Conviction Review Units at the State Attorney’s Office in Florida’s 15th Judicial Circuit. In less than five years of practice, she has handled high-profile cases involving serious felonies, juvenile delinquency, public corruption, organized crime, and hate crimes—proving herself to be a fierce and principled advocate for justice and equity.
Freddie’s drive is deeply influenced by her Haitian heritage and the values instilled by her mother, a strong matriarch from Cap-Haitien (Okap), Haiti, who emphasized hard work, service, and community care. Inspired by those principles, Freddie goes beyond the courtroom to serve her community. She volunteers as a translator for Haitian individuals navigating the legal system, mentors law students and young attorneys, and regularly speaks to bilingual students across South Florida, offering encouragement, guidance, and critical access to professional networks.
A passionate advocate for inclusion within the legal profession, Freddie is an active member of the Haitian Lawyers Association and serves on the Board of Directors for several prominent voluntary bar associations, including:
- F. Malcolm Cunningham Sr. Bar Association
- Palm Beach County Chapter of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers
- Craig S. Barnard American Inn of Court
- Sheree Davis Cunningham Black Women Lawyers Association
She also represents Florida’s 15th Judicial Circuit as a Governor for the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors, where she champions the needs and interests of young attorneys statewide.
Freddie lives by the principle: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” Through her legal work, mentorship, and tireless community engagement, she embodies that mission daily—leaving a lasting impact on the profession and the people she serves.
