Mark St Vil

Mark St. Vil is a Haitian-American attorney from Miami, Florida, who focuses on client-centered representation. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida A&M University and from Florida A&M University College of Law, where he was elected Hooding Speaker for the 2014 graduating class.

Attorney St. Vil began his legal career in criminal law. He represented the State of Florida as a CLI with the 9th Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office in Orlando. There, he handled hundreds of cases and brought several to trial, including multiple-count life felonies. Later, he defended clients against the State of Florida as a public defender with the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida. In this role, he maintained an unbeaten record, winning multiple jury trials.

After nearly three years of handling criminal cases on both sides, Attorney St. Vil moved into government and local politics. He worked as a policy advisor and legal consultant for the City of Miami, drafting resolutions and ordinances. He then joined a prominent Miami law firm as an insurance defense attorney, representing insurance companies in the U.S. and London, England. During this time, he negotiated settlements worth tens of millions of dollars. Today, he uses his experience in insurance law at The St. Vil Firm, PLLC.

Attorney St. Vil is an active member of The Florida Bar and has been admitted to the Southern and Northern U.S. District Courts of Florida. He also serves as Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Board and founded the nonprofit organization, People About Change, Inc. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, attending sporting events, weight training, and playing Texas Hold’Em.
