Netanya Hogu

Netanya Hogu is an initiative-taking and results-oriented purchasing professional with over a decade of experience in procurement management, contract administration, and strategic planning. Currently, she serves as a Procurement Contracting Officer 2 in the Information Technology Unit of Miami-Dade County’s Strategic Procurement Department. In this role, Netanya excels in developing and managing various solicitations, preparing award recommendations, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.

Previously, Netanya Hogu was a Purchasing Agent for Broward County. There, she managed contracts, monitored financial expenditures, and prepared Board Agenda Items for County commissioner meetings. In this capacity, she established contracts, prepared solicitations, conducted negotiations, and performed due diligence to ensure fair and reasonable pricing. These experiences honed Netanya’s ability to handle complex procurement processes with precision and integrity.

Before her role in Broward County, Netanya Hogu began her career at the School Board of Broward County in the Procurement and Warehousing Services Department. Here, she supported purchasing activities, monitored budgets, and served as a liaison between vendors and the school board. This early experience laid the foundation for her expertise in procurement.

In addition to her professional achievements, Netanya Hogu holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Business Management from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media Communication Arts with a concentration in Journalism from Clark Atlanta University. Her credentials also include being a Certified Public Procurement Buyer and a NIGP-Certified Procurement Professional, specializing in Technology Procurement and Strategic Procurement Planning.

Moreover, Netanya is deeply committed to community service. She volunteers for Aiding-Aids, Inc., and the Community Access Center, where she helps youths understand the importance of education and career planning. Outside of her career and volunteer work, Netanya enjoys working out, spending time with loved ones, and cooking healthy recipes.
