Rose Jean Mary

Rose Jean-Mary is a highly accomplished federal agent, a dedicated public health advocate, and an MPH candidate at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. With over a decade of experience in pharmaceutical regulation, health inspection, consumer protection, and environmental health, she has contributed to ensuring compliance with public health and safety standards through complex domestic and international efforts.

Born in Haiti and raised in the Little Haiti neighborhood of Miami, Florida, Rose grew up in a single-parent household with her sister, guided by the strength and resilience of her late mother. Her upbringing instilled in her a lifelong commitment to service, leadership, and the pursuit of health equity for underserved populations.

Rose holds an MBA in International Business from Nova Southeastern University, a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences (concentration in Biopharmaceuticals), and an Associate of Arts in Biology from Miami Dade College. Currently pursuing her Master of Public Health at Harvard, she focuses her research on the early detection of lung cancer in non-smokers—a deeply personal mission inspired by the loss of her mother to the disease.

A former FCCAgE/USDA Scholar, Intern, and Researcher, Rose has presented at national conferences and contributed to research on environmental health and heavy metal remediation. At Harvard, she serves as Vice President of Academic Affairs for the Student Government Association and has held multiple leadership roles within Student Government at Miami Dade College.

Rose is also the Founder and President of Living in Abundance LLC, a wellness brand that offers curated gift boxes designed to support healing, connection, and celebration during life’s seasons.

Her leadership journey began in the City of Miami Police Explorer Program Post 162, where she advanced through the ranks from Sergeant to Major, ultimately serving as a Junior Advisor mentoring younger cadets. In 2015, she earned recognition as Third Runner-Up in the Miss Haiti International Pageant, using her platform to advocate for childhood hunger elimination, mental health awareness, educational equity, and Haitian cultural pride.

Rose’s professional and community contributions have earned her membership in multiple national networks and honor societies, including Sigma Beta Delta and Phi Theta Kappa. Her accolades include the Harvard Chan School Scholarship, the President’s Volunteer Service Award, and more than 30 additional recognitions for service, leadership, and academic excellence.

Fluent in English, French, and Haitian Creole, Rose divides her time between Florida, New Jersey, Boston, and Washington, D.C. She remains deeply passionate about health equity, youth mentorship, community wellness, and building systems of care that leave no one behind.
